The ongoing vigil since the Iraq war began is at the intersection of Rtes. 9 and 9D in Poughkeepsie, from 12 to 2 every Saturday, now with a multiple focus: Peace and Planetary survival.
Chris Ruhe, after our candlelight vigil in support of Copenhagen Conference on climate action, suggested that the vigil we hold every Saturday from 12 to 2, at 9 and 9D, an antiwar vigil, be expanded in scope to encompass the great urgency of action to save the earth and reduce greenhouse gases to 350ppm, if we are to survive and save our only home, Planet Earth!
Therefore we urge you all who have been coming to the vigil all these years, to continue, and for those of you who have not, please join!
And let’s try to make clear the relationship between the US war policy and the escalation of the war in Afghanistan and the still-war in Iraq , with the need to focus our resources , funds and know how, on stopping global warming!
Location: At the intersection of Rtes. 9 and 9D in Poughkeepsie, NY.
